Happy July 4!!!

So its the 4th of July. I had to do yard work, at the new place. We were able to buy fill dirt from our neighbor, we just had to move it. I rented a Bobcat, and moved as much of it as I could. Maybe a third of the way done. I see more time on a bobcat in my future. I will have to get the pictures that were taken to post. (Rant on) I did not take any pictures because, honestly, Carolyn and I are getting upset about the lack of progress with our house. We are very disappointed with the framing crew (Or framing person). It has been a week since he has needed a crane to put up the trusses. The trusses still sit on the ground. The amount of work done by this crew in the last week is about the same as what I could do by myself in less than a day!

I have had 2 other people stop by while I was working on the lot who are also having homes built by Wayne Homes in Monroe County, MI. They are also getting fed up with the delays and excuses.I foresee 3 families getting the 110 day guarantee money paid to them.

My cabinets are in. I was scheduled to have them delivered Monday and stored in our garage, after the garage floor is poured and everything done, including drywall. Ha, I don't even have a roof yet. So, I had to rent a POD to store them in, not happy.

To top this off, Wednesday I went to the house and saw the showers have been delivered. To my surprise, I notice two tub surrounds in my garage. The funny thing is, our home has one tub and one shower stall. I call my field rep and leave him a message, but I already knew he was out of town and was told to call his supervisor. After calling the Wayne Homes office to get his phone number, I call him, no answer so I left him a voice mail. That was Wednesday. Today is Friday. Still got 2 shower stalls in my garage, and not a single return phone call.

Well, that's about it for this update, or lack of an update. I think if the trusses are still not up by next weekend I will call my friends, we will put them up, and bill Wayne Homes. (Ok, Rant off now).
